After 4 days of on ice, off ice, seminars, power, stretching, interpretive, whew! The skaters are tired! Check out our skaters at work....and play, at VFSC Camp!
Following are a few pictures from our annual ice show. More to come!
Sit back, relax and enjoy "Paradise" as you re-live the memories of the 2009 ice show.
A handful of VFSC skaters competed at the Robin Lee competition in St. Paul, MN. The rink was nearly tropical and on Saturday the facility lost power for over an hour. But the show must go on! As soon as the issue was fixed the competition, and fun, resumed!
We had a great time at the Brainerd 4th of July parade. The weather was tropical and so was our theme, our next show Paradise On Ice! We handed out flyers to promote our club and upcoming registration. Scott & Stacey Kruger kindly donated their time, semi truck and trailer so we could roll down the street in style. A huge thank you to Stacey for organizing the event!
We rock & rolled, strolled and saw the best of both worlds as we turned back time in March of 2008. Skaters from Basic Skills to Sr Club showed us their stuff. Rohene Ward was the guest skater. He worked with the Jr and Sr Club skaters the morning before the first show. An added bonus, his friend Quintin, also worked with the skaters as he was just coming off the international tour of High School Musical on Ice. Even the coaches joined in to learn the famous "Wild Cats everywhere, wave your hands up in the air" dance on ice!
Several VFSC Skaters competed in Mankato in January of 2008.
United States Figure Skating held it's Nationals competition in St. Paul, MN in January 2008. A few VFSC Coaches and students were able to attend. It was held at the Excel Energy Center. What a treat to see the best in our country up close!
Music from every decade, generation, place and time. Music in the car, music at the beach, we celebrated it all in Music Every Where! Our Guest Skater was Parker Pennington and he wowed the crowd with his talent. Much fun was had behind the scenes as Parker taught our skaters his own off ice conditioning and on ice techniques.
